The Program is located in the building of the Institute of Human and Information Sciences – ICHI, on the Carreiros Campus. The facilities include a large secretariat room, where two permanent University secretaries and an intern work to support activities, a specific room for the PPGGEO Coordination, a study room for use by postgraduate master's students, with ten computers, study tables and air conditioning, and one for Program meetings and dissertation defenses.

Four research laboratories located at FURG are linked to PPGGEO-FURG. The following research groups are associated with these laboratories:
